Excellia School observed World AIDS Day on 1st December with great awareness and responsibility. The programme aimed to educate students about the importance of preventing HIV/AIDS and showing support to those living with the condition.
The day began with a special morning assembly where teachers explained the significance of World AIDS Day and the need to spread correct information instead of fear. Students learned about the importance of kindness, care, and breaking the stigma related to HIV/AIDS.
A short speech and an informative presentation were given by the senior students, highlighting how HIV spreads, how it can be prevented, and why awareness is essential. Red ribbons—the symbol of support—were also displayed on the bulletin board.
Teachers encouraged students to practise empathy and to treat everyone with respect. The programme ended with a pledge to spread awareness and promote a healthy, responsible lifestyle.
Through this observance, Excellia School successfully helped students understand the value of awareness, compassion, and social responsibility.
