Hands-on learning activity

As a part of hands-on learning activity, a Shape Tree was displayed in the classroom, and students were given different 2D shape cut-outs such as circles, squares, triangles, rectangles, and ovals. They were asked to identify each shape and place it in its correct position on the tree.

The activity enabled students to recognize and differentiate basic geometric shapes through active participation. It enhanced their observation skills, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills while making learning interactive and enjoyable. The activity also encouraged confidence, active involvement, and concept clarity through experiential learning, helping students develop a strong foundation in identifying shapes.
